The smoke has cleared recently and the scouting has gotten easier. Many members of our crew are out scouting daily now and I should be getting more pictures in the next couple of weeks.

UPDATE SEP 3, 2017: More Non-Typical Outfitters Scouting Photos from AUG 2017

Scouting is in full swing now with many of our guides in the field every day. We are finding some great deer! The numbers do seem to be down from previous years, but some of the big boys certainly made it through the hard winter. The elk are in the timber a lot this time of year as it is really HOT! As it cools down they will start coming out more and we can get some more pictures. Archery elk is open now, and we will be hunting big bulls soon. There are only two weeks left until the mule deer opener. Camps are set up and horses will be getting fresh shoes next week. Get ready…here it comes!

UPDATE SEP 15, 2017: Even More Non-Typical Outfitters Scouting Photos from AUG 2017

The rifle deer season has officially begun! The weather just changed from hot and dry to cool and wet, which should help the hunting. This will be the last group of scouting pictures.

We are chasing some great deer this season and pray we are blessed with many successes, both the ones that involve packing deer and elk into camp and the ones that don’t. Blessings and safe hunting to all of you this year!
